Braulio Alonso High School is a public high school located in Hillsborough County, Florida. Dr. Sandy Bunkin was the school's first principal and after five years retired. She was replaced by Mr. Louie Diaz who was the Assistant Principal of Athletics for the first 2 years the school was open then become the principal of Jefferson High School. The school is currently the largest in the 9th largest district in America.

Alonso High is named after Braulio Alonso. He served on the board of directors in the National Education Association from 1958 to 1964, and was elected as its president in 1966.

Alonso High School's mascot is the Raven.

Alonso Theatre Department

Alonso is home to the award-winning International Thespian Troupe 6299, under the sponsorship of Mrs. Lisa Vorreiter. Since its formation the first year of the school's existence, the troupe has won multiple Superior ratings at the district and state levels.[5]

In addition to sponsoring the troupe and directing the department's various plays, Mrs. Vorreiter, who has been with the school since its opening, teaches Stage Makeup, Improv, and Beginning and Advanced Musical Theater and Acting.
